Zelma Brady Dresser age 92, of El Paso, Texas passed away at 4:47 AM on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Pacifica Senior Living in Tucson, AZ. Zelma was born November 17, 1927 in Hodgenville (Cecil Hill), KY to Charles and Mary Sudie (Vernon) Ewing.
Zelma was preceded in death by her parents, her 11 siblings, her husband of 36 years, Johney L. Brady and second husband of 13 years, Gordon D. Dresser. She is survived by her six children, Charles Brady (Shelly) of Harper, TX, Alia Riggs of Cypress, TX, Brenda (George) LeFlohic of Tucson, AZ, Pat (Brian) Matthews of Santee, CA, John (Eve) Brady of LaMarque, TX and Paula (John) Gembala of Spring, TX, 13 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Zelma was a stay at home mother and homemaker. In her later years, she became a Red Cross volunteer at William Beaumont Army Medical Center for over 15 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a long time member of Hillcrest Baptist Church of El Paso, TX.
Over the years she loved to paint, arrange flowers, garden, take long walks in the desert and most of all she loved her family.
Viewing will be held at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn at 8817 Dyer, El Paso, TX 79904 on Thursday, December 19 from 5 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Friday, December 20 at 9:30 AM officiated by Pastor Jim Dickinson and followed by burial at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 11 AM.
