Annie Mae Buerger

Annie Mae married Stanley Buerger in 1958, and together they built a life centered around family and the simple joys she cherished.

She worked for the Texas Press Association for 27 years as a reader. Annie Mae loved spending time outdoors and caring for her plants. She especially enjoyed being outside feeding her chickens. She also loved reading, working puzzles, and going out to eat with family and friends. Annie was very generous, donating to various charities over the years.

Annie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ella Miller; her beloved husband, Stanley Buerger; and her son-in-law, Don Dupree.

She is survived by her children, Melonie Kenerson and husband Mike, Mitchell Buerger and wife Pamela, and Angela Dupree; her sister, Mae Smith; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Annie Mae will be lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her for the life she shared with them and the many simple moments that brought her joy.

A visitation will be held at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, 604 Hwy 95 North, Elgin, TX, on October 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by Celebration of Life Services beginning at 11:00 AM

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Elgin,
