September 10, 1955 – June 9, 2026
It is with great sadness that Jeff Oden, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend left this earth peacefully on June 9th with his wife Rhonda; son Tyler and brother Mike by his side.
Born on September 10, 1955, at Ellington AFB in Houston, Tx, he was the son of Nancy and Horace Oden.
Jeff was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife Rhonda of almost 36 years whom he married in 1990 along with children Tyler, Ryan (and wife Latisha), Rachel (and husband Coy) and April. He was a loving papaw to his grandchildren Jazlyn, Matthew, Tucker, Tynlee, Ava and Madden.
He also leaves behind his brother Mike (and wife Rita), sister Janice (and husband Gene) and brother James (and wife Trish), brother-in-law Robert Henley (and wife Carla), in-laws Judith Henley and Roy Henley along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and several lifelong friends.
Jeff loved music and fishing and was an avid and loyal sports fan to all the Houston teams.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at The Auberge Memory Care Facility along with Cynthia his hospice nurse from Halcyon Hospice. Their compassionate care and support for him during his battle with dementia will always be greatly appreciated.
Jeff will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved him, and his family will cherish his memory and keep him in our hearts forever. We are all comforted by the fact that his body is whole again and he is at peace.
The family will have a private celebration of life for Jeff, as that is what he would have wanted.
Donations to the Dementia Society Of America in Jeff’s name would be appreciated.
