Krystal Gail Bisbo

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Krystal Bisbo, 47, of Bastrop, Texas, on July 14, 2026. Born in Syracuse, New York, Krystal passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family after a lifelong battle with congenital heart disease.

Krystal faced a lifetime of health challenges with extraordinary strength, resilience, and grace. She never allowed them to define her or limit the way she lived. Instead, she chose to spend her life caring for others, always putting their needs before her own.

Above all else, Krystal was a devoted mother to her son, Mason, who was the absolute joy and light of her life. Being Mason's mom was the greatest joy of her life, and she often said that raising him was her greatest accomplishment. She celebrated every milestone, cheered him on through every success, and never stopped believing in the incredible man he is becoming.

She was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend whose kindness, compassion, and support touched countless lives. Krystal had a gift for making everyone in her life feel valued, loved, and accepted just as they were. Whether celebrating life's biggest milestones or helping carry someone through their hardest days, she was always there with a listening ear and a comforting presence.

Krystal dedicated her career as a veterinary technician to caring for animals, but her compassion extended far beyond her profession. Animals weren't just something Krystal loved, they were part of who she was. From the time she was a little girl, horses were one of her greatest passions. She grew up riding, caring for, and owning horses, and some of her happiest memories and deepest sense of peace were found in the barn and in the saddle. She was a fierce advocate for animals and never met one she wouldn't help. She spent years rescuing, fostering, and loving animals in need, believing every life deserved kindness and a second chance. Whether caring for a beloved family pet or helping an animal find a forever home, she gave every animal the same unconditional love she gave the people in her life.

Those who knew Krystal will remember her generous heart, infectious smile, unwavering strength, and remarkable ability to make others feel loved. She was the kind of friend who stood beside you through every season of life, someone you could always count on, who loved without judgment and gave without expecting anything in return. The world is better because she was in it, and her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled.

Krystal is survived by her beloved son, Mason Schneider; her loving parents, Bruce and Brenda Bisbo; her sisters, Melissa Allen and Erica Ortego; her nephew, Sawyer Ortego; and countless extended family members, dear friends, and the many animals whose lives she touched.

While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Krystal is finally at peace, free from the illness she fought so courageously for so many years. Her love, compassion, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Osprey Point Hall, Lake Bastrop South Shore Park. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Krystal's life, share memories, and honor the extraordinary woman she was.
