

La Veta J. Booton, age 73, passed away on August 12th, 2026, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose kindness and strength touched the lives of many.
La Veta was born in Kansas City but spent most of her adult life in Las Vegas, where she built a life centered on family, friendship, and hard work. She dedicated more than 20 years of service to Desert Radiology before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and care.
She is lovingly survived by her three children, Trina Reno, Jeanie Frost, and Beau Booton; her five grandchildren, Amanda Gonzales, Bryce Reno, Bailey Criswell, Jacob Bouder, and La Veta Frost; and her great-grandchild, Mason Reno, as well as siblings, brother Dan Manasco and his wife, Joann, brother Bobby Manasco and his wife Brenda, and sister Lorna Green-Parrish and her husband Mike.
La Veta will be welcomed with love by her children, Christian and Steven, who preceded her in death, along with her close friends Chuck Richards, James Smythe, and Mike Oliver.
La Veta will be remembered for her passion for hummingbirds, caring for her plants, her enduring strength, and humor she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, 604 Hwy 95 North, Elgin, TX 78621, US, on September 12, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Following the service there will be a gathering of family and friends.
