Ltc (Ret) John Michael Mccormick

LTC (Ret) John M. McCormick age 73, passed away at home on December 1, 2016 in Elgin, TX.

Mike was born August 21, 1943 to Hubert and Ruby (Alford) McCormick in Spring ,TX.

He Served his country for over 27 years in the Texas Army National Guard serving in various positions and was a member of the American Legion Post 295 in Elgin, TX

Mike had a big heart and his laugh and good humor was known by all he meet.  He will be so greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents

Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years Maggie (Bega) McCormick, sons Brett and Noah McCormick,

daughters Michelle Litz and husband Mike; Shanna Ramirez and husband Mike. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren as well as a host of other family members and friends

The family request that in Lieu of flowers a donation to the American Cancer Society be made to help find a cure for this horrific disease.

A Special thanks to the wonderful staff of the Round Rock Scott and White Oncology  Medical Clinic, Dr. Murray and Nurse Hanna and all the ladies at the Pain and Management Center.
