Savannah was her Mom’s textbook mini-me and loved all the pink that came with being a girl. She loved bows, glitter, leopard print, the right outfit, shopping, horses, and twirling—but never turned down a moment to help her Dad in the shop.
Savannah never simply entered a room—she arrived with dimples, wit, a big smile, and teasing little giggles that made everyone around her feel at ease. Her personality filled a room, and she had a special way of making life feel joyful.
Quality time was Savannah’s love language. Whether shopping, playing, drawing, laughing, or simply being together, she treasured time with the people she loved. She was also a natural giver who expressed her love through thoughtful gifts and took great joy in finding something special for someone else. She was never one to skip a reason to celebrate.
Her Nana was one of Savannah’s favorite people and someone who made her feel deeply loved, safe, and understood. Their simple moments together became some of Savannah’s most treasured memories.
Savannah loved each of her siblings in her own special way. She adored Hayden and often bragged about having him as her big brother. Madison was someone Savannah looked up to. She admired her older sister and loved to emulate her fashion choices. Abigail and Savannah experienced many of life’s most intense ups and downs side by side. Their shared experiences created a special bond between them, filled with understanding, companionship, and love. Savannah was an extraordinary big sister to Liam. She adored him, looked after him, and loved being his sister. Their bond was one of the greatest gifts of her life.
She loved her family and friends fiercely, and they loved her just as deeply. She would proudly say that she loved her family second and her best friend, Jojo, third—but she was always quick to say that Jesus came first.
Her faith was personal and genuine. Savannah knew who Jesus was and loved Him dearly. Her family finds comfort in knowing that the little girl who loved Jesus most is now safely in His presence.
Though Savannah’s nine years were far too short, they were filled with love, laughter, friendship, family, twirling, and joy. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, faith, and happiness, along with memories that will be treasured by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever our Savvykins.
Savannah Rae is survived by her parents, William and Tabitha McRae; her siblings, James (Hayden), Madison, Abigail, and Liam; and her grandparents, Scott and Anjella (Nana) McCarty and Tommy and Kristi Hunt.
In honor of Savannah, guests are lovingly requested—but certainly not required—to wear pink.
