

Alana was a mother, a wife, and had retired from a career in teaching at Lincoln Trail Elementary. She spoke her mind, stood beside those who needed her, and brought a sense of ease and light to even the hardest days. Prior to teaching she worked alongside her father and brother as the office manager of the family construction company, held a realtor license, worked auctions at Hodges Auction and devoted several years to being at home with her kids.
She was a voracious reader, she loved to cook from the heart, travel, work crossword puzzles, spend time at the beach, make memories and laughter with her favorite people, as well as have fellowship with her church community at Howevalley Independent Methodist, where her husband pastors.
She is preceded in death by her father, Allen Edwards; her brother, Kerry Edwards; her fiancé, Johnny Scott; her grandparents, Ruthie Love, Riley Layman Cecil, Mildred Meade, Don Edwards; her special uncle, Larry Light; her sweet aunt, Carolyn Hornback; and many other beloved relatives.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Meadors; her three children, Logan (Kam) Bagley, Landon (Emily) Bagley, and Ciara (Mark) Araya; her cherished grandsons, Liam and Brooks Bagley; her mother, Norita Edwards Lamb; her sister, Jill (James) McIntyre; her nephews, Noah (Julia) McIntyre and Kody Edwards; her niece, Ashleigh Carraro; her two special aunts, Debbie Light and Cathy Monin; her lifelong best friends, Robin Schroeder, Terri Masterson; and many other friends and family who loved her deeply.
The funeral will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 13th at 2:00 followed by a graveside service at Franklin Crossroads Cemetery. Her visitation will be held on Monday, January 12th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and again prior to her service Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00.
