Alma Ruth Colyer

She was born on June 23, 1928 in Adair County, Kentucky to the late Clyde and Della King Graybeal.

Alma enjoyed gardening and flowers, which brought beauty and joy to her life. Her career as a buyer for Bacon's Department Store was marked by success, showcasing her go-getter spirit and commitment to her work.

A devoted member of Severns Valley Baptist Church, Alma's faith was a guiding force throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Doris Minor, Herman Graybeal, John Graybeal, Travis Graybeal, Louis Graybeal, and Norma Clemens.

Survivors include her loving husband of 69 years, Gilbert Colyer; their daughter, Trina Colyer (Gunnar Rivera); and one brother, Kenneth Graybeal.

The funeral is at 12 PM Noon on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Pastor John Meadors officiating.

Burial follows in Hardin Memorial Park.

Visitation will begin at 9 AM on Wednesday and continues until the time of service at the funeral home.
