Amy Jeanne Sherrard, 66, passed away surrounded by loved ones on March 1, 2025 at University of Louisville Hospital. Left to cherish her memory is her son Sam, daughter-in-law Emily, granddaughter Sophie, and partner-in-life Noel.

Cremation was chosen. A public memorial visitation will take place at Brown Funeral Home from 11AM-1PM on Sunday, March 9th, immediately followed by a celebration of life service at 1PM. A private burial will be held on Monday.

Her circle may have been small, but her light shone far beyond its perimeters. Amy loved unconditionally, and if you were fortunate enough to know her, she not only told you, she showed you. We always remember the way people make us feel, and with Amy that was loved, heard, validated, and encouraged. She laughed easily and contagiously, and her mere presence brought a motherly comfort to all. She loved music, and in sharing it with her son from an early age, formed a special bond that will live through generations to come. She was socially conscious, always advocating for the oppressed and for the equal treatment of every human being. Where there is love, there is life; Amy believed that energy goes on even when the body no longer does. Her profound energy will continue to abide in the hearts of the innumerable lives she touched during her time here, ensuring the eternal preservation of her legacy of love and light.
