

He was a native of Louisville, and retired from Coca-Cola. Barry was an avid UK and Tennessee Titan fan and was a huge Elvis and George Strait fan. He was the best grandpa ever and loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollice Alvey and Nettie Rae Nichols Pence and a sister, Judith Ray.
Survivors include his three children, Cheryl (Ryan) Merrell, Natasha (Brandon) Strauss and Barry Allen (Katie) Pence, II and eight grandchildren, Justin Hall, Destiny Pence, Riley Merrell, Madison Merrell, Aubrey Strauss, Conner Pence, Bennett Pence and Maryanne Pence.
The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery in Big Clifty.
Visitation will be from 10 to 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
