Betty Lawler Burden, a cherished and faithful resident of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, passed away on October 29, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Betty is survived by her children, Mike Gaddie (Victorian) and Steve Gaddie; her grandchildren, Steve, Shane, Tara, Shawn, Mikayla, and Mark; as well as 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her first husband, Blond Gaddie; her second husband, Carl Burden; her daughter, Marilyn Gaddie; her grandson, Roy Gaddie; and her siblings, Hazel Greenwell, Ruth Vance, Pauline Hilton, Opal Lewis, and half-sister, Clovie.
Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home on November 4, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place on November 5, 2025, starting at 10:00 am. Betty will be laid to rest at Elizabethtown Memorial Garden.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
