Carolyn Jean Menendez

She was a native of Goldsboro, NC and a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and forever a caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her son, Vince Menendez; grandson, Dillon Gomez; her parents, Josh and Carrie Dennis Mitchell; three brothers, Douglas Mitchell, Bobby Mitchell and Billy Mitchell and three sisters, Joyce Sandoval, Natalien Price and Hazel Mitchell.

Survivors include four children, Angelina (Jeffrey Jackson) Menendez, Steven Menendez, Christopher (Amy) Menendez and Antonio (Dudlena) Menendez; 13 grandchildren, including Lorenzo, Taylor, Dailey, Lili, Ben, Kyra, Danielle, Crystal, Tiffanie and Jennifer and great-grandchildren Lyli and Valentino and one on the way.

The funeral will be Friday at 12 noon at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 to 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
