Charles "Larry" Owen

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Dorothy Owen and his grandson, Matthew Kelly.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Anita Moser Owen; a son, Mark (Teresa) Owen of Morning View, KY; a daughter, Leigh Ann Kelly of Winfield, IL; step-daughter, Angela (Ed) Domek of New Albany, IN; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert (Bev) Owen of Anchorage, KY, and William Owen of Elizabethtown.

Charlie was retired from SMC3 where he designed software for the trucking industry. He was an Eagle Scout, Scout Leader, and member of the Order of the Arrow. He loved tinkering with old cars and touring with the Tennessee Ts Model T Club. His love of Civil War history and his family's genealogy also consumed a lot of his time. He was a proud member of the EHS Class of '60.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
