Born on July 8,1956 in Fort Knox, Kentucky, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Charles L. Bruton, Sr. and Mattie Brown Bruton.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a homemaker.
Charlotte attended Union Christian Church in Hodgenville, where she was a member of their Ladies Circle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband of 37 years, James Bailey.
Survivors include one son, Brian (Larry Spear) Bailey; one daughter, Melissa (Mike) Johnson; one brother, Charles Louis (Suzy) Bruton, Jr.; three grandchildren, Brody, Macy, and Makinley Johnson; and several other family members.
The funeral is at 11 AM on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Union Christian Church in Hodgenville with Pastor Steve Campbell officiating.
Burial follows in Union Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 24th from 5 to 8 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continue after 10 AM Saturday at Union Christian Church.
