

Charlotte was born on September 16, 1945 in the small town of Franklin Crossroads to the late Lawrence and Irene Brown. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Brown.
She attended Howevalley High School and was a member of the first graduating class of West Hardin High School in 1963. She later graduated from House of James Beauty College in 1966.
Charlotte worked as a beautician for many years and later retired from Hardin Memorial Hospital.
A woman of many talents, Charlotte found great joy in crafting, sewing, and creating beautiful flower arrangements. She even opened a craft store on her family farm in Howevalley, where she shared her creativity with others. She continued designing floral arrangements until her health no longer allowed her to do so.
Charlotte was a devoted member of the church. She attended Yates Chapel Church at an early age, and later attended Open Valley Church, where she faithfully gave her heart and soul to the Lord.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, James Howard of Elizabethtown; her two children, James (Don) Howard of Cecilia and
Kimberly Howard of Elizabethtown; her brother Dennis (Brenda) Brown of Bardstown; her favorite niece Elisha Gayle Brown of Bardstown; special family friend Austin Hayes and her beloved dog, Whiskey. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whom she considered family and loved deeply.
Charlotte was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats, a passion that was evident to anyone who visited her home.
She will be remembered for her creativity, her faith, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
Visitation will take place on Monday, May 4, from 5pm until 8pm, at Open Valley Church. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 9am until the time of the service at 11am. She will be laid to rest at Open Valley Cemetery following the service.
