

He was born on May 30, 1927 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Clarence Dee and Kathryn Heck Claggett.
After serving in the U.S. Navy until 1946, Bruce worked at Gates Rubber Company for many years.
Bruce was a member of College Heights Church and enjoyed serving God through missionary work with Elizabethtown Mission Team.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William Claggett; and two sisters, Kathryn Claggett and Betty Edgell.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene Claggett of Elizabethtown; two sons, Bruce (Carrie) Claggett, Jr. of Eastview and Daryl (Richard) Claggett of Virginia; one daughter, Elizabeth Claggett of Florida; one step-son, Paul Clark of Virginia; two brothers, Bobby (Sandy) Claggett of Florida and Allen (Linda) Claggett of Alabama; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Don Cox officiating.
Burial follows at 10:30 a.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
Visitation will begin on Monday, May 12th from 5 to 8 p.m. and continue from 8:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
