

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed cooking, loved the outdoors, bird watching, and was an avid hunter guide at Fort Knox for 35 years. He was a member of Tunnel Hill Baptist Church, the Lions Club for 30 years, and the NRA. His sense of humor was like no other, he made everyone around him laugh. In his youth he played bass in the popular band "The Children". He graduated from University of Kentucky and Embry Riddle University, and retired as a telecommunication supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clint S. Nickols, Jr. and Virginia Adams Nickols.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Annie Nickols; three children, Heather Durning of Prospect, Holly Nickols Golladay of Louisville, and Nathan Nickols of Louisville; and three grandchildren, Robby Durning, Carrington Crosiar, and Viviann Mitchell.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Looten officiating. Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Thursday and continues after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
