and energies to the service of the people of his hometown and the betterment of his community. Danny

Danny became known for his hard work ethic and his perseverance- traits that he proudly passed on to
his children, Matthew and Jenna. Widely known for his helpful nature and tender heart, Danny often
assisted family, friends, and colleagues with virtually any tasks he was able to accomplish. During his
tenure as Jailer, he established a donation program that enabled inmates to provide Christmas gifts to
their children who came for visits.
A love for fishing and hunting was passed on to his children and grandchildren, and memories of days on
the pontoon boat or fishing in the pond will be remembered fondly by his family. Danny also enjoyed
weekly fishing tournaments with his cousin, Dale Lewis. His grandchildren, who lovingly referred to him
as "Papoo", will cherish memories of playing on the family farms, riding golf carts and ATVs, and
enjoying sweet treats together.
Danny is survived by his children, Matthew (Beth) Allen and Jenna (Jon) Colson; his children's mother
and cherished caregiver, Lou Ann Allen; grandchildren, Jase Colson, Lucy Allen, Clay Colson, Annelise
