He retired from Jefferson County Schools and was an Author.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Bonnie Sego Cruse; and his parents, Charles Arthur Cruse and Elva Montgomery Cruse.
He is survived by his sister in-law, Christine Arnold and a brother, Ernest (Lila) Cruse; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continues after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
Burial will be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
