
He was a native of Hardin County, served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a member of Rineyville Baptist Church. He was a Sergeant with the Kentucky State Police, where he has worked for 18 years and was scheduled to be promoted to Lieutenant. He was a member of the KSPPA.
He is survived by his parents, Randy and Carolyn Gibbs and he loved his dog Murphy, who always had a smile for him.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Severns Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Shacklette and Rev. Raymond Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Rineyville Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday and continue after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home.
