He was a native of Hardin County and a machinist.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Bill Melvin Cox.
Survivors include his mother, Laura Mae Cox; three children, Scotty (Melissa) Cox, Tamra (Ronnie) Cox and Cassandra (Mikey) Cox; two brothers, Gregory Cox and Larry Cox; one sister, Sheila Stolz and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Eastview Baptist Church with Rev. Mike McGrew officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home and continue after 9 a.m. Monday at Eastview Baptist Church.
