Gary Allen Lucas

He was born on November 18, 1959 at Hardin Memorial Hospital to his parents, Oleta Jean Lucas and Wallace Wilson Lucas.

Gary worked at Gates Rubber Company for many years.

He was an avid fisherman and loved U of L basketball. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling. Gary enjoyed sitting outside and admiring the nature. He was a man of simple things and a simple life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his uncle, Tommy Henning and sister-in-law, Sheila Lucas; and his grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Mae Lucas; his son, Christopher Allen (Carrie) Lucas; step-children, James Taylor, Betty Taylor, and Lennie Taylor; brothers, Wayne (Brenda) Lucas, Roger (Marchitta) Lucas, and Larry Lucas; his aunts and uncles, Russell (Brenda) Horn, Finley (Doris) Butler, and Maxine Henning; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The funeral is at 12 PM Noon on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Yates Chapel Community Church in Cecilia.

Burial follows in Yates Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 5th from 5 to 8 PM and continues after 9 AM Thursday all at Yates Chapel Community Church.
