Helen was a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church since 1951 where she proudly taught the 5th and 6th year children for 43 years. She retired from Elizabethtown Water and Gas Department after 23 ½ years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lillard Smith and Mary Lee Mattingly Smith; husband of 52 years, Donald C Isham; brother, Lillard Smith Jr.; niece, Mary Jane Scott; nephews, William Smith, Joe Smith, and Jim Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Barry Isham (Mary Alice) of Sonora, KY, Teresa Isham of Bardstown, KY; grandchildren, Jody Isham (Cameron), Ali Horn (Jeff); great-grandchildren, Lauryn, Cayleb, Kali; great-great-grandchild, Jace; beloved sister, Betsy Johnson of Lebanon, KY; nephew, John Smith; nieces, Judy Lee, and Missy McGrew.
Visitation for Helen will be on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 10am – 12pm at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College Street, Elizabethtown KY 42701. Funeral Service will follow at 12pm with a burial to follow at Peters Cemetery in Mackville, KY. Pastor Emory Riley is officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Severns Valley Baptist Church Senior Adult Ministry.
