Howard E. Pryor

He was a native of Ballard County; and served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII. He served as the minister for 17 years in Virgie, Ky, then Ledbetter, Ky, and retired from Princeton, Ky. He most recently served as a Senior Adult Pastor at Valley Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Lillie Carney Pryor, and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Myrtle Heck Pryor, of Elizabethtown; son Timothy Alan Pryor of Virgie, daughter Ramona Kenady, of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren, Howie Greer (Leah), Ashley Roberts (Mitch), and Vincent Myers; and four great grandchildren, Walker, Brilee, Ridge, and Addison.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Valley Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Kerr officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home and continue after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the Church.
