He was a native of Evansville, Indiana and was a member of Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church. He served in the United States Air Force and was a plumber for Local 502 Plumbers Pipe Fitters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Babb; and two sisters, Edna Travis and Betty Dunbar.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cindy Beasley Babb; son, James Brian (Andrea) Babb-USAF stationed in Germany; daughter, Amy Babb of Boonville, Ind.; three sisters, Sue Belt of Marion, Ky; Anna Lou Speaks of Kirksville, MO, Wanda Sue Babb of Ky; and four grandchildren.
Their will be no services at this time. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
