He was a native of Rineyville, and retired from Total Auto Care after 26 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Hubert Barnes; and step sister, Phyllis Ruff.
He is survived by his mother and step father, Irene and Floyd Dodson of Cecilia; brother, Wayne (Marcia) Barnes of Cecilia; two step sisters, Carleen (Myles) Vollmer of Nashville and Danette Alexander of Elizabethown; one niece and one nephew.
The funeral is at 4 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Maguffee officiating.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
