

He was a native of Rome, KY and served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. After his military service, he worked at Ft. Knox as a systems analyst until retiring in 1990. After retirement, he enjoyed volunteering at the hospital and delivering flowers for Tunnel Hill Florist.
In 1951, he married the love of his life, Rosamery. They were for 61 years. They lived in Elizabethtown and attended St. James Catholic Church for over 60 years.
He was an usher and helped with counting collections for many years. He and Rosamery were Eucharistic ministers which included visits to nursing homes.
Jimmy was a devoted husband and caregiver to his wife prior to her death.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheila (Jack) Beavers of Murfreesboro; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 A.M. Friday, May 24, 2024 at St. James Catholic Church. Burial follows in St. James Cemetery.
Visitations starts at 9 A.M. Friday at the church and continues until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for friends and family to remember kindness once done for them and pay that kindness forward.
