He was a native of Hamlet, NC, was a member of House of Prayer Lutheran Church and was a retired colonel from the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William N. and Mary Louise Higdon and a sister, Evelyn Loyce Graff.
He is survived by one sister, Joyce Barrow and a nephew, James N. Barrow both of Bloomington, IN.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch at the House of Prayer Lutheran Church with Rev. Pam Thorson officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
