

He was a native of Chicago, Illinois and retired from the U.S. Army where he served during Vietnam in the 194th Cavalry Unit and Dentac. He was a former member of Knights of Columbus in Washington, a member of St. James Catholic Church, and a substitute teacher for Hardin County Schools.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys Conley Johnson and James Albert Johnson; and a brother, Eddie Presberry.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda LaRue Johnson; son, Mike Johnson of Elizabethtown; daughter, Kathleen Johnson Miller of Tennessee; brother, Anthony Presberry of Chicago; three sisters, Darlene Johnson of Elizabethtown, Sheila Downs of Smiths Grove, and Quanita Robinson of Chicago; four grandchildren, DeVaughn Miller, KiAnna Miller, Kash Johnson, and Conrad Johnson; three great- grandchildren, Kylan Miller, Maya Miller, and Bentley Miller.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY with Father Kirby Rust officiating.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 4th at Brown Funeral Home.
