James Wilcox

James was a dedicated and hardworking individual, having retired from Gates Rubber Company after 38 years of service. His commitment to his work was matched by his devotion to his family. He was married to Martha Faye Wilcox for over 60 years, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together, they raised three children: Angela Johnson of Elizabethtown, Kimberly D. Wilcox of Elizabethtown, and Christopher Wilcox of Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

James is survived by his wife, Martha F. Boles Wilcox, 3 children, four sisters, two brothers, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, who will continue to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ervin and Nellie Wilcox of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; his sister, Barbara Lynch of Elizabethtown; and his brother, Johnny Wilcox of Vine Grove, Kentucky.

In addition to his family and career, James was a dedicated member of the Cecilia Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, contributing to his community with the same steadfastness he showed in all aspects of his life.

James Wilcox will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his faith, and his community.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 25,2025 at 1 P.M. with visitation from 10 A.M. until start of service at Cecilia Baptist Church. The burial will be held at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
