

Born on May 24, 1933, in Providence, Kentucky, Jane was the beloved daughter of the late Elmer and Tina Gray. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 67 years, David Curneal, whose love and partnership were the foundation of a life well lived.
A proud 1951 graduate of Madisonville High School, Jane was a spirited cheerleader whose enthusiasm and warmth remained with her throughout her life. She found great joy in playing bridge, cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, and sharing time with family and friends. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted member of Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Story Point Senior Living and Hospice for the exceptional kindness, dignity, and loving care they provided Jane during her final days.
In addition to her husband, Jane was preceded in death by her sisters, Carolyn Vernier and Paula Hunter.
She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughters, Kathy (Mike) Gardner of Louisville, Kentucky, and Julie (Leon) Smith of Sandusky, Ohio; her grandchildren, Jaime (Anthony) Andretta of Louisville, Kentucky, Steven (Amy) Brandenburg of Eastview, Kentucky, Dustin (Celeste) Million of Lexington, Kentucky, and Tracy (Joshua) Peavler of Winchester, Kentucky; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Kellen and Keaton Brandenburg, Ethan and Emerson Andretta, Ava and Graham Million, and Eliza and Emmy Peavler; her sister, Nancy Francis of Woodstock, Georgia.
Jane will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, grace, and generous heart. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will live on through all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, July 11,2026 from 12 P.M. until 4 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, in Jane's memory.
