Sorry to hear that John has passed away . I met when he was the person that made sure the PM fleet of car up to date on maintenance at TMP. Then worked with him in DOL contract section untiled I retired in 2011. I always thought highly of him .

I met John back in 2003, John and I had the same favorite football team Pittsburgh Steelers.  We always talk about the Steelers and our family. John is a great man and love his family, Pittsburgh  and the Army. I will miss our talk on football, life and family.  RIP John. Will be praying for the family.

Debbie and family -- I didn't hear about John's passing until last night so I'm sorry I was not able to join the celebration of his life.  I worked with him when he was in the military and in civil service at Ft. Knox.  He served  this country proudly.  I will keep you all in my prayers, and may John rest in peace and be reunited with loved ones.

I met John on the pickleball courts in Etown. 
I just wanted to let his family know that he was just such a kind soul. I barely knew him, but some people are just nice and it touches your soul. He was definitely one of those souls. My prayers and love goes out to his family. He was so nice.  I can’t say it enough.  He was ALWAYS smiling and making you laugh.

JRW JR., the greatest man to ever live! 

You have set the greatest example of what a person should strive to embody. I see your best and most wonderful qualities each day in Ty. He is the greatest father and husband because of you. 

We have always been able to count on you for anything and everything, even at 2AM when Brycen was on his way. You answered the phone right away when we called and took care of the kids for us all day on no sleep after a long drive to our house, without a single complaint or hesitation. Thank you for always giving our family an endless sense of security and safety. 

I will miss how personable you were and talking about what carving project you were working on. I will miss getting photos of all the different things you’ve carved and learning about how you created them. Thank you for making me feel like you are my dad too, not just my father-in-law. 

I will miss sending you pictures of the kids before school in the mornings and your response, “lookin good have a GR8 day…😎😎🔥”. I am so thankful and appreciative that you have always been such an incredible Pap to my children and loved them as much and Ty and I do. You and Deb are my kids most favorite people on the planet. I will make sure the big three remember you forever and Brycen always knows what a legend he has as a Pap Pap. 

We will miss you physically forever but know your presence is still among us each day. We love you always. 💛🖤

I was stationed at Ft. Knox with John in the 90's and from the moment we met we became friends. John was a true professional soldier and took whatever role he was given and excelled at it! Along with his professional manor, he also had a great sense of humor, and a love for his Steelers. Of course as a PATRIOT fan we had many - and long discussions about our teams; and as a true football aficionado, I looked forward on Monday's to talk about how are teams faired. My deepest condolences to his family. He was a great guy who will be missed.

Although life may lead us down different paths and take us to different places, nothing can break a strong family bond.

Despite the distance between us, we maintained a close connection throughout the years and for that I’ll always be grateful.

You were a genuine person, a caring person, a family man and most of all a good man. You were there for me at times when I needed it most and I’ll never forget that.  

Rest peacefully… I’ll miss you my brother.

I was so sorry to hear about John’s passing. I had the privilege of knowing and working with him for more than ten years, and in that time, I came to respect and appreciate the kind of person he was.

He was deeply dedicated to his work, the Army, and of course, his love for all things Pittsburgh and Louisville soccer. He loved his family and always told us stories about his kids and grandkids. He could be tough and stubborn at times — and he’d probably laugh hearing me say that — but he always had the best intentions and cared about getting the job done right.

He was a good man who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Please know that you’re in my thoughts during this difficult time. He will be missed.

I met John playing pickleball. You could always count on him to bring the spin, wear his bucket hat, Army shirt, and make everyone feel welcome. He was always fun to be around. Pickleball brings so many walks of life together, and I’m grateful to have met John. My heart goes out to all who knew him. Rest easy.

I worked with John at Fort Knox and then my husband, Larry, and I played pickleball with him.  He would often have his grandson, Jacob, with him.  John was such a kind and friendly guy and fun to be around.  We are so very sorry of your loss.  You and your family are in our prayers.

I knew John from playing pickleball. He was such a wonderful person, we spoke often of the kids and the grandchildren that he was able to spend time with.  We are both Steelers fans and knew what we were talking about when one said, “did you see that play”. John will be missed and thought of often.  I am sure he walked on the courts in heaven and said, “I am ready let’s go, we are burning sunlight”

So sorry to hear about John.   He was always so happy and full of energy when he played pickleball.  My favorite saying from him was when you asked him if he needed to warm up, he would say “ I was born warmed up! “ Rest in peace John.  My condolences to the family.  I will miss his joyful spirit.

I knew John from Pickleball and have played with him over the last three or four years. As a guy my same age, I really appreciated his friendly manner, good humor, and great sportsmanship whenever we played. My sincere condolences to the family.

He was the sweetest kind gentlemen a girl could meet. He made me feel so welcome into the club of ball and felt like I had a new family.
