

John proudly served as a United States Military Veteran for 21 years before retiring to work in Civil Service on Ft. Knox. His dedication to his country and community was unwavering.
As a Pittsburgh native and avid Steelers fan, John loved mechanics, playing pickleball, and had a remarkable talent for fixing anything. He was cherished by all who knew him.
John is preceded in death by his father, John R. Weiss Sr.; mother-in-law, Mary Bogucki; grandparents, Sam and Sarah Rubino; aunt, Shirley Morece; and cousin, Jimmy Morece.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 45 years, Debbie Weiss; children, Lance Weiss (Claudia Stone), Brant Weiss, Tyler Weiss (Whitney), and Connor Weiss; grandchildren, Jacob Weiss, Chloe Weiss, Kayden "Ty" Weiss, Jace Weiss, Brycen Weiss; mother, Pat Weiss; brother, Dean Weiss; aunt, Ruth Markham; brother-in-law, Michael Bogucki; sister-in-law, Sue Cronin (Steve); nephew, Ryan Cronin; and family friend, Bryan Jolly.
There will be a Memorial Gathering at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 10:30am to celebrate John's life. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's honor can be made out to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
John Robert Weiss Jr. will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
