

Joseph was born July 29, 1947 in Shirleysburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Glenn Hoffman and Helena Witters. Mr. Snyder was also preceded in death by his spouse of 53 years Wilma J. (Stains) Snyder in 2021, and his sister Brenda Caswell in 2014. He lived the majority of his life at his home in Three Springs, Pennsylvania.
Joseph was a honest and hardworking man, that always provided for his family. During his lifetime, Mr. Snyder was employed primarily by the Harbison-Walker Refractories Company, a historic refractory brick manufacturing complex in Mount Union, and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.
Joseph is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Snyder and wife Marlene of Leesburg, Virginia and Jerry Snyder and wife Jennifer of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, one daughter, Lorie Poole and husband Donald, III of Hedgesville, West Virginia; two grandchildren, Calvin Snyder and Santiago Taboada; and two siblings, Dave and Steve Hoffman.
Joseph had a love for the outdoors and outdoor activities, his favorite hobbies included hunting and fishing which he enjoyed whenever he was able. He was a friendly man, who never met a stranger, and he always had a kind word for his many friends and coworkers.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
