

He was born on January 28, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Walter Earl Hawkins, Sr. and Ruth Wright Hawkins.
Karl loved woodworking, staining, and shooting guns, which included hunting. He enjoyed being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Walter Hawkins, Jr.; and two sisters, Deanna Bush and Brenda Walker.
Survivors include his loving wife, Janet Kay Foster Hawkins; one son, Karl Stephen Hawkins and his wife, Julie Ann; one daughter, Carla Ashcraft and her husband, Johnny; three sisters, Polly Muto, Sandra Manicuso, and Ellen Sefchick; five grandsons, Alex, Zach, Awston, Tyler, and Dylan; and several great- grandchildren, Gabby, Karl Payne, Kynsler, Madison, Jensen, Gunner, Jessie Ann, and Dane.
The funeral is at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
Burial follows in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday, November 9th and continue after 11 AM Monday at the funeral home.
