

She was a native of Ashland, KY and a member of Youngers Creek Baptist Church. She was the former President of the Hardin County Republican Women’s Club and a member of the Congressional Women’s Club. Kayi loved making orange juice cakes, but she especially loved to make people feel welcomed and loved.
Kayi was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Florence Gambill and two brothers, Bill and Roger Gambill.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ron Lewis; two children, Brent and Amanda Lewis and Allison and Tyler Coffey; one sister, Faye Crooks; five grandchildren, Kinsley Grace Coffey, Hope Lewis, Faith and Grace Cates and Wilson Bernhard and several nieces and a nephew.
The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at White Mills Baptist Church with Larry Vance and John Chowning officiating.
Burial will follow in White Mills Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home and continue Monday from 11 to 1 at White Mills Baptist Church.
