Larry Eugene Crews

Larry Crews, age 80, of Elizabethtown, KY passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born in Edmonton, Kentucky on May 27, 1945, to Andy and Evelyn Crews. He graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1967 with a bachelor's degree in agriculture and obtained a master's degree in Agronomy from the University of Kentucky in 1969. He spent his entire career working for the US Department of Agriculture until his retirement in 2004.

Larry loved being outdoors with his family - hunting, hiking, and canoeing. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and restoring vintage corvettes.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Mary Lynn Crews Van Buren. Survivors include his wife, Alice Stahl Crews of Elizabethtown; his daughter, Larra Crews Rose (Steve) of Cincinnati, OH; his son-in-law, Chris Van Buren of Atlanta, GA; grandsons, Austin Rose and Anderson Rose; and granddaughter Hadley Van Buren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 11 am-1 pm at College Heights Church; 710 College Street Road, Elizabethtown, KY 42701 with a celebration of life directly following at 1pm. Burial will be at Hardin Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the service.
