Larry Ray, 75, passed away on August 11, 2026. Born June 30, 1951, Larry lived a life defined by steady courage, deep devotion, and a work ethic that never sought attention yet earned lasting respect. He was a man cherished by those who knew him, and his absence will be felt in the quiet spaces where his reliability and strength once stood.
Larry served his community as a firefighter for 33 years and helped build station West 84 Fire Department. Alongside that calling, he spent 53 years as a truck driver—years marked by long roads, early mornings, and the kind of hard-working perseverance that provided for others and kept promises without fanfare.
Larry was preceded in death by Hebert Ray.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Ray; daughter, Lisa Renee Ray; son, Evan Richard Ray (Paula); Mother Margert Ray; Grandsons, Christopher Tan Myers and Michael Boland; Brothers Keith Ray (Beverly) and Patrick Kem Ray (Rita); as well as many more friends and family who loved him dearly.
