He was a native of Huntington, WV, and worked at Mouser Cabinetry.

He is survived by his father, Larry Dean Varney, Sr. of Junction City, KS; mother, Mary Jean Shepherd Meno of New Bern, NC; girlfriend, Heidi Collison of Elizabethtown; five siblings, Donald Edward Shepherd of Huntington, WV, April Ladawn Russell of Wayne County, WV, Robert Lee Varney of Plant City, FL, Mary Heather Varney of Morehead City, NC, and Taryn Allyson Varney of Elizabethtown; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Lee Varney officiating.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
