Lawrence Johnston

He was a native of Shelbyville, a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a farmer. He loved farming and playing Rook in the wintertime.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ruth Moore Johnston and a brother, Karl Johnston.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Beverly Thomas Johnston, two sons, Brian (Hali) Johnston of Louisville and Kyle Johnston of Custer, one daughter Angie (Paul) Priest of Custer, one brother, Bill Johnston of Custer, one sister, Marilyn Bruner of Custer and three grandchildren, Ethan Priest and Anna Priest and Simon Johnston.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Tony Stevenson officiating. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery in Custer.

Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home. A prayer vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.
