He was a native of Portsmith, VA, served in the U.S. Army and was a retired security guard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Wells Carson; parents, Murray Allen and Helen Hope Carson and a sister, Ann Carson.
He is survived by two children, Joanna (Kirk) Earls of Elizabethtown and Jeff Carson of Ft. Knox; one sister, Kathleen (Richard) Hutten of Hopewell, VA and four grandchildren, Hope, Grace, Faith and Andrew.
Cremation was chosen by the family.
