Martha Laverne VanMeter

She was a retired floor associate at Big Lots, an avid UK Wildcat fan, and loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hettie Mae Nunn; two sons, Michael Nunn and James Lee Nunn; a step-son, Steve VanMeter; son in-law, Ronnie Highbaugh.

She is survived by her husband, Hubert VanMeter of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Stephanie Highbaugh of Buffalo; a step-daughter, Charlotte (Ron) Bragdon of Elizabethtown; daughter in-law, Charlotte Nunn of Horse Cave; eight grandchildren, Daniel (Brianna) Highbaugh, Amber (Isaac) Buchanan, James Lee Nunn, Belinda (Todd) Hodges, Amanda Barney, Tommy (Joanne Wash) Barney, Jessica VanMeter, and Jacob VanMeter; and six great- grandchildren.

The funeral will be Wednesday, September 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Talley officiating.

Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
