

He was a native of Hardin County and was a graduate of East Hardin High School. Marty worked as an MRI Technologist for over 20 years. He was a helpful neighbor, who was always willing to do things for others. Marty was an avid Louisville Cardinals fan. He enjoyed being outdoors and taking long walks with his granddogs. Marty loved anything Disney or Marvel, and took many trips to Disney World with his family. He also liked tinkering with cars and motorcycles, while enjoying hot wheels.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Mable Riggs Hornback.
Survivors include his two daughters, Callie and Chloe Hornback; five siblings, Mona (Tommy) Stiles, Debbie (Ed) Donnelly, Martha Lopez, Steve Hornback, and Robbie Chitwood; the mother of his children, Lisa Hornback; nieces and nephews, Karen (Jeremy) Thompson, Casey (Jennifer) Wilcox, Mona (Tod) Vaught, Lara Donnelly, Patria (Fred) Martin, Teresa (Rob) Magner, Stephanie (Mark) Vertrees, Jenny Hornback, Rachel Hornback, Corey Chitwood, and Mason Chitwood; and his granddogs, Bella Claire and Oreo.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
Burial follows in Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. and continues until the time of the service at the funeral home.
