

She was a native of Hopkins County and a member of Elizabethtown Baptist Church. She was a member of St. James Forever Young Club, a member of Nine Patchers Quilt Club, and Rosie the Riveter during World War II.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Darlene Skillman; her husband, Carl A. Hibbs Jr.; parents, Omar Gatlin and Lena Carnes; a daughter, Darlene Skillman; three brothers, William Gatlin, Ron Gatlin, and Otis Gatlin; two sisters, Hazel Hurt and Louise Baker.
She is survived by her son, Darval (Barbara) Rash of Lexington; three grandchildren, Jami (Joe) Larkin of Elizabethtown, Kasey (Mark) Smith of Crestwood, and Stevie (Andrew) McKinney of Louisville; five great-grandchildren, Austin Skillman, P.J. Larkin, Hank Larkin, Delaney Smith, and Daxton Smith; one great- great grandchild, Darci Skillman; and her special friend, Susan Pickett.
The funeral will be Monday, November 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Danny Haynes officiating.
Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park.
Visitation is 12 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
