Newton O. Sandfer

He was a native of White Mills, served as a Deputy Jailer and was a retired welder and mason. He loved hunting, fishing and anything outdoors.

Newton was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Zelda Priddy Sandfer; two children, Mike Sandfer and Donna Sandfer and brothers, Ralph Sandfer, Albert Sandfer and Harold Sandfer.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Charlene Sandfer; two sons, Mike (Lydia) Stepp of Texas and Charles (Kelli) Sandfer of Louisville; one daughter, Wanda Spencer of Louisville; two brothers, Eddie Sandfer of Elizabethtown and Ronnie Nichols of Fisherville and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday from 12 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
