

He was a native of Custer, KY and worked as a mechanic at Sears. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force who served in Vietnam. Otis was very generous and caring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Bennett and Hazel Whitworth Bennett; one daughter, Pamela Gwin; one brother, Jerry Bennett; one sister, Jaquetta Inell Sheroan; and two infant siblings, Walter and Opal.
Survivors include his wife, Lois G. Bennett of Elizabethtown; one step-son, Mike (Cindy) Collins of Bardstown; three brothers, Joe (Leila) Bennett of Cecilia, Julius (Nita) Ray of Murfreesboro, TN and Bobby (Vonnie) Bennett of Dyer; one sister, Josephine Goodman-Hoskinson of Howevalley; and one granddaughter, Lori Schrek.
The funeral is Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continue after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff at a later date.
