Pam was born on November 27, 1947, to the late Matt and Louise Wimsett. She was also preceded in death by her beloved sister, Susie Dahlenburg and niece, Kristin Dahlenburg Richter.
She is survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-laws, Amy and Greg Inman, and Natalie and Adam Hitch. Her greatest joy was being "Gram" to her seven cherished grandchildren: Garrett Inman, Griffin Inman, Adelyn Inman, and Graden Inman; and Will Hitch, Lilly Anne Hitch, and Owen Hitch. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Sonja Wimsett; brother-in-law, David Dahlenburg, her niece, Shannon Wimsett; and her nephews, Matthew Wimsett and Erik Dahlenburg.
Pam also leaves behind her dear "Lunch Bunch," a wonderful group of friends who brought her countless laughs, companionship, and treasured memories over the past several years. Their friendship was a true blessing in her life.
A lifelong woman of faith, Pam was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church for more than 50 years. She generously gave her time volunteering for countless church and school activities, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she was needed. Her kindness, servant's heart, and quiet generosity touched the lives of many.
Raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Pam graduated from Angela Merici High School before attending the University of Louisville. She pursued a career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, dedicating herself to caring for others at Ireland Army Hospital at Fort Knox. Later, she continued serving her community through her work in mammography at Hardin Memorial Hospital, where she compassionately cared for countless patients throughout her career.
Above all else, Pam was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, treasured sister, and loyal friend. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and selfless love will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
While our hearts grieve her absence, we find comfort in our faith and in knowing that she is now healed and at peace. Though she is no longer with us physically, her love, values, and the countless lives she touched will continue to live on through her family and all who loved her.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15th from 10:00 am – noon with a funeral service at noon all at St. James Catholic Church, Elizabethtown, Kentucky, to honor and celebrate a life well lived. The family invites you to wear Pam’s favorite color, pink, to celebrate her on Wednesday.
