Reford Harold Coleman

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen Coleman; children, Steve Coleman (Yvette) and Mike Coleman (Barb); grandchildren, Amanda Miller, Matthew Coleman, and Elizabeth Coleman; great-grandchildren, Tristan, Ethan, and Abigail; nephew, Edward; and nieces, Susan, Laura, Libby, Susan, Joy, and Kathy.

He was preceded in passing by his parents and his brother, Alfred Coleman (Eleanor).

Reford received his Bachelors of Science Degree and Law Degree from the University of Kentucky. He was a former Counsel for the Kentucky Supreme Court, and practiced law locally since 1965. He was admitted to practice before the US Court of Appeals and US Supreme Court. Reford received awards as a Top Attorney in Kentucky and for the highest possible rating in both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards. He was always an avid UK Basketball fan. Go Cats! He was a great provider, a great lawyer, and a loyal friend, and he loved his family deeply. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College St., Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701, on April 9, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on April 10, 2026, at 10:00 am.

A Funeral Service will be held at Brown Funeral Home on April 10, 2026, at 11:00 am.

Final resting place will be at Lexington Cemetery.
