He was a native of Jefferson County, served in the U.S. Navy, was a Carpenter and a member of the Kentucky Beekeepers Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Margaret Crosby Horn.
He is survived by one daughter, Christine Triplett; his caregiver, Rose Gifford and her children, Tiffany, Douglas, Andrew, Zachary, Cody and Kara; one sister, Linda (Kenny) Prather; two grandchildren, Lynn Talley and Dennis Talley; three great grandchildren, Kelsey Jackson, Devin Tucker and Noah Talley; one great-great grandchild, William Jackson and niece and nephew, Lori Noble and Jeremy Heffernan.
Cremation was chosen by the family.
