Robert Wayne Tharpe

The Hart County native was a Korean War Army veteran and retired from civil service at Ft. Knox. He graduated from Munfordville High School and was a member of the Munfordville Masonic Lodge, the Knights Templar in Elizabethtown and the American Legion Post 113.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Oscar D. and Beatrice Jaggers Tharpe, 5 brothers; Harold, Stokley, Darrell, Arnold and Glenial Tharpe, and one sister; Geraldine Tharpe.

He is survived by a sister in law; Marian Tharpe of Elizabethtown, several nieces and nephews, special friends; Bob and Lucy Ash of Glendale and Leon Adcock of Munfordville.

The funeral will be at Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. with David and Mitchell Tharpe officiating. Burial will follow at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday.
